In China, people often refer to financial bankruptcy events as “thunderbolt.” I extend this imagery of "thunder" through three independent yet interconnected stories that showcase three variations of "thunder," thereby exploring how people define "evil" within the current social framework and discussing the fluidity and possibilities of such definitions. I collaborated with two modernist composers to pioneer a new style called Chamber Rap. Through a documentary format, I showcase our collaborative process, which was inspired by the Evergrande Group's financial collapse. During this process, the collision of different perspectives made our observations of Chinese society more three-dimensional, while also revealing the predicaments we face as young Chinese artists.
